The VR version of Batman: Arkham Shadow has been announced ahead of its planned release in late 2024

The game Batman: Arkham Shadow, developed by Camouflaj and Oculus Studios, will be fully revealed in June of this year. It is scheduled to be released in late 2024 exclusively for Meta Quest 3.

The official description of the game reads: “Evil lurks in the streets. Gotham is in danger. And only you can save it.”

The game will be presented during the Summer Game Fest Live event on June 7th at 2:00 PM PT and 10:00 PM UK time.

It is currently unclear whether the game will adhere to the canon of the Batman: Arkham series developed by Rocksteady.

Batman: Arkham Shadow will be the second VR game under the Batman: Arkham brand, following Batman: Arkham VR, which was released alongside the original PlayStation VR headset.

Last week, Meta announced that it is opening access to the Meta Horizon OS, which controls its Quest headsets, for third-party device manufacturers.

Xbox and Meta collaborated last year to bring Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta) to the Meta Quest headset, allowing players to play Xbox games on a large virtual screen in mixed reality. Now, we are working together again to create a limited edition of the Meta Quest, inspired by Xbox,” Meta said.
