The delay on the community streams for PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 has now been increased to two minutes

The delay for community streams during the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 has been extended to two minutes.

PGL made changes to the delay for community broadcasts just days before the start of the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 for CS 2. Now it stands at two minutes instead of the previous 90 seconds. The reasons for this decision by the tournament operator have not been disclosed.

Representatives of PGL did not inform streamers about the changes, simply adjusting the delay duration on the rules page. Fans speculate that such actions by the organizers might aim to curb the popularity of Brazilian streamer Alejandro “Gaules” Borba. The rights to broadcast in Portuguese were acquired by the BTS studio, and many viewers prefer to watch matches on Gaules’ streams.

PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 will take place from March 17 to 31 in Denmark. Participants will share a prize pool of $1.25 million, ranking points, and a slot in the fall BLAST Premier World Final 2024.
