The game Horizon Zero Dawn, currently available to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium users, will leave the service on May 21. This was announced on the game’s page in the PlayStation Store. On the same day, another 25 games, including six Final Fantasy titles, will also leave the service.
The removal of Horizon Zero Dawn is of particular interest given its success – the game has sold over 20 million copies for PS4 and PC, according to Sony. The last time a game from Sony left the catalog was in May 2023, when Spider-Man was removed.
In late 2022, it was announced that Sony plans to release a remaster of Horizon Zero Dawn for PS5. The updated version will offer improved graphics and new features to bring the game closer to the level of its sequel, Horizon Forbidden West.
