Players have reached the rank of Global Elite in CS 2 for the first time — this happened after the ranking system was updated

In CS 2, players have reached the Global Elite rank for the first time. This happened right after the update that changed the ranking system in the game.

The first player to achieve this result was 0.01$. He reached the highest rank in the shooter on the Dust 2 map. It took him 46 matches to achieve this, but it is unknown how many wins he earned after the update.

Later, kpl | katayu_po_legitu 🙁 also achieved this rank. He did it on two maps — Mirage and Office. To reach the maximum result, he needed 79 and 124 wins, respectively.

Earlier, Valve released a major update for CS 2. The developers revamped the ranking system. Now, only two wins are required to obtain a rank. You can read about other changes in our news article.
