According to SteamDB, since its release on Thursday, the peak concurrent players for Ghost of Tsushima reached 59,244.
This figure was surpassed by only three games published by Sony, two of which were developed by the company’s internal studios.
Leading the way is Helldivers 2, developed by the third-party studio Arrowhead, with 458,709 concurrent players, followed by God of War with 73,529 and Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered with 66,436.
The peak player count for Ghost of Tsushima, which could yet increase over the weekend, already exceeds those of games like Horizon Zero Dawn, Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition, and The Last of Us Part I.
The current top 10 peak concurrent player counts for PlayStation games on Steam are as follows:

The PC version of Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut, also available on the Epic Games Store, was developed by Nixxes in collaboration with the original creators, Sucker Punch Productions.
The game has received positive reviews from players on Steam: at the time of publication, 85% of 4,573 reviews were positive.
Sony announced earlier this week that Helldivers 2 sold 12 million copies in its first 12 weeks, making it the fastest-selling game for PS5 and PC.
