Xbox’s InXile playfully responds to a ‘leaked’ release date by a voice actor

The developers of Clockwork Revolution have responded with humor to speculation surrounding the game’s release date.

Recently, an IMDB listing hinted at a possible 2025 release, reportedly from a voice actor involved in various upcoming projects with alleged release dates and game codenames.

While the accuracy of this listing remains uncertain, inXile, the studio behind the game, took to social media to playfully address the situation.

They shared a meme featuring scenes from Netflix’s The Umbrella Academy, suggesting that the original IMDB entry was “making up a release date.”

Announced by Xbox Game Studios last year, Clockwork Revolution is described as a “time-bending steampunk first-person RPG” currently in development by InXile Entertainment.

The game is led by game director Chad Moore and principal designer Jason Anderson, both renowned for their work on the influential steampunk RPG Arcanum.

Clockwork Revolution is set to launch on Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam, and will also be available on Game Pass, though the exact release date is yet to be announced.
