Valve has started testing an updated anti-cheat system for CS 2

Valve has announced the launch of testing for the new VacNet 3.0 anti-cheat system for Counter-Strike 2 (CS 2). This information was revealed in an official statement on the game’s website.

The new software will be applied only to select matches, but the developers have not yet disclosed further details about VacNet 3.0. According to commentator Chad “SPUNJ” Burchill, improving the anti-cheat system is the studio’s top priority at the moment. He also noted that the development is being conducted under strict secrecy.

Additionally, on the night of August 20, Valve banned the use of binds such as Jumpthrow, Snap Tap, and others. The developers explained this decision by their desire to reduce automation in gameplay, making it more fair and challenging for all players.
