Final Fantasy 16 will be released on PC in September

Square Enix has announced that the popular game Final Fantasy 16, originally released on PlayStation 5 in June 2023, will be available for PC users on September 17, 2024. The base version of the game will be priced at $49.99 / £44.99 through Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Additionally, a Final Fantasy 16 Complete Edition will be released on PC, which includes not only the main game but also two story expansions—Echoes of the Fallen and The Rising Tide. The complete edition will be priced at $69.99 / £64.99.

Today, Square Enix also delighted fans with a free PC demo, which is already available for download. The demo allows players to experience the opening section of the game and save their progress for later use in the full version.

Along with the demo, a new trailer has been released, where the developers once again emphasized the game’s theme, describing it as an “epic dark fantasy where fates are decided by powerful Eikons and the Dominants who wield them.”

The main character of the game is Clive Rosfield, a tragic warrior who has sworn revenge on the Dark Eikon Ifrit, a mysterious entity that brings nothing but destruction in its wake. The trailer provides a deeper insight into the story and atmosphere of the game, making the anticipation for the PC release even more exciting.
