OG suffered a defeat to NAVI Junior with a score of 0-2 in the third round of the lower bracket of the qualifiers for The International 2024 in Dota 2. This means that the team is now out of the closed qualifiers and has lost all chances to participate in this year’s world championship. OG will miss their second consecutive The International, despite being one of the most successful teams in the discipline’s history with two Aegis victories.
In the TI13 qualifiers, OG played with a stand-in. Captain Sébastien “Ceb” Debs was unable to help the team in the match against Entity Gaming, which ended 1-2, due to personal reasons. He was temporarily replaced by support player Alexander “Immersion” Khmelevskoy. Debs returned to the team afterwards, but OG faced potential disqualification from PGL due to a rules violation, despite the club requesting an exception for Debs well before the start of the qualifying cycle.
OG‘s next tournament will be the Riyadh Masters 2024, for which they received an invite based on their EPT ranking. The tournament will be held from July 4 to 21 in Saudi Arabia, with a prize pool of $5 million.
