Lone Druid has been temporarily removed from Dota 2 matchmaking after a critical bug was discovered that allowed players to crash servers. The bug involved a neutral item with a cooldown, which had to be passed to the bear, returned to the hero, and then used. Players would then buy and immediately sell the item, causing the server to crash.
Currently, it is unknown when Lone Druid will be reinstated in the game. This is not the first time developers have had to temporarily remove a hero due to bugs. Previously, Meepo was removed from the game because of a bug that allowed players to quickly earn 10,000 gold. In that instance, developers fixed the issue within a day, raising hopes for a swift return of Lone Druid.
