Rust Receives Major “The Crafting Update” with Premium Servers and New Gameplay Features

Facepunch Studios has released a major update for the survival game Rust, titled The Crafting Update. This patch introduces crafting improvements, cooking mechanics, premium servers, and more.

Premium Servers to Combat Cheaters

Rust is launching premium servers, visible only to accounts that have spent at least $15. These servers will be prioritized in the server list and are designed to make it harder for cheaters using disposable accounts. Server owners can activate the premium status using the server.premium variable. Facepunch also noted that the $15 threshold may change over time, with additional verification measures introduced in the future.
