The European region has lost one slot in the upcoming Major as a result of PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 in CS 2. This means that the RMR will proceed without the Decider Stage. Coach Vyacheslav “innersh1ne” Britvin noted this fact.
In the next RMR in Europe, there will be no last chance bracket due to the region losing an additional 17th slot, which will be transferred to Asia or America depending on the outcome of The Mongolz — Legacy match.
The match between The Mongolz and Legacy is scheduled for March 20th. The winner will advance to the second stage of the Major, while the loser will exit the tournament. At the same time, matches between Imperial — GamerLegion and SAW — FURIA will take place.
The loss of the slot occurred due to the unsuccessful performances of European teams in the first stage of the Major. Four teams have already exited the competition: ENCE, Apeks, Amkal Esports, and KOI. SAW and GamerLegion may join them in the near future.
