B1ad3 explained the reasons behind NAVI’s defeat in the BLAST final

Player and coach of NAVI, Andrey “B1ad3” Gorodenskiy, explained the reasons for his team’s defeat in the BLAST Premier Spring Final 2024 against Team Spirit. In an interview with Players website, he noted that the loss was due to mistakes and lack of experience from the team.

“We made mistakes, poorly controlled the situation on the map. There was a lack of experience. Perhaps the bo5 format hindered us because we needed to prepare for many maps. We spent 4.5 hours preparing for the match. On the day of the final, we only had two hours available because we finished late in the evening. And we had to be at the arena by noon. We definitely lacked time. Everything we came up with turned out to be flawed. We couldn’t execute our strategies, there were mistakes. It didn’t go smoothly; someone forgot something. Yes, but still, there were five maps, which is a lot of information. You have to do everything precisely, stay one step ahead. It was difficult to do.”

NAVI lost to Team Spirit in the BLAST Spring Final with a score of 1:3. The team earned $85,000 for their performance. Both teams concluded their season.

The BLAST Premier Spring Final 2024 took place from June 12 to 16 in London. Participants competed for $425,000, ranking points, and one slot in the world finals.
