The Blood of Dawnwalker set for September 3 release, marking the start of a new franchise

The action RPG The Blood of Dawnwalker continues to rank among the most anticipated releases of 2026, and a recent showcase by Rebel Wolves has only reinforced that status.

The studio—founded by former CD Projekt veterans and led by game director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz (known for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Cyberpunk 2077)—shared new footage and key details about the project.

The game is set to launch on September 3, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series consoles. Pre-orders are already live.

Players will be able to choose between two main editions:

Standard Edition — includes a future expansion and is priced at $/€69.99
Eclipse Edition — includes the expansion, digital compendium, soundtrack, and artbook for $/€79.99

If you purchase the Standard Edition after release, the DLC will need to be bought separately.

During the presentation, developers unveiled an atmospheric story trailer that highlights the game’s core premise. The story centers on a clan of ancient Carpathian vampires in the 14th century, during a plague sweeping across Europe. While vampires are immune and can save humans, their growing influence leads to increased power—and the gradual transformation of people into vampires.

The protagonist, Coen, is an ordinary villager tasked with saving his family within 30 in-game days. To do so, he must gain supernatural abilities, slowly losing his humanity in the process. By day, he fights with a sword and blends in with society; by night, as a half-vampire, he uses magic, controls minds, climbs walls, and can even transform into a wolf.

The game will feature morally complex choices, ambiguous characters, and branching outcomes. Time progresses as players complete quests, and notably, there is no strict division between main and side missions—all actions impact the story.
