Counter-Strike 2 update — April 30

The latest update for Counter-Strike 2 introduces a range of small but noticeable improvements, with the spotlight on updates to Cache and minor adjustments to Dust II.


[ MAPS ]

Cache

  • Increased bomb explosion radius
  • Adjusted lighting near Vent
  • Disabled player collision with the sign and removed the lamp near Squeaky
  • Reworked the A-site e-box for better visibility
  • Lowered the entrance height to Checkers from B Main
  • Removed the AC unit above Sandbags and repositioned pipes
  • Fixed missing footstep sounds on crates at A site
  • Fixed a geometry gap near the Sun Room door
  • Fixed wallbang issues at A Main
  • Resolved some z-fighting problems near Garage
  • Adjusted grenade collision across the map
  • Improved player collision across the map

Dust II

  • Fixed visibility through the Mid Box (Xbox) corner

[ AUDIO ]

  • Potential fix for an issue where game audio could completely disappear

[ MISC ]

  • Fixed cases where the camera could clip through ceilings when crouch-jumping in tight spaces
  • Adjusted particle transparency for fully obscured flashbangs
  • Improved smoke lighting consistency
  • Minor tweaks to magazine ejection speed on dropped pistols
  • Restored Ambient Occlusion settings in the Environment Blend shader
  • Fixed a bug where money could be deducted from the wrong player when taking control of a bot
