The appearance of Billie Eilish in Fortnite appears to corroborate a 2024 roadmap leak.

Following in the footsteps of The Weeknd and Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish will become the third featured artist in the free-to-play music game Fortnite Festival, which was released in December.

Developed by Rock Band studio Harmonix, which Epic Games acquired in 2021, Fortnite Festival allows players to perform in a band with friends or play solo with tracks from popular artists.

Confirmation that Eilish will join Fortnite on April 23 arrives days after the star’s appearance in the game was included on what’s claimed to be a leaked 2024 content roadmap image.

If genuine, post-apocalyptic (Mad Max?) and Marvel seasons of Fortnite battle royale could be on the way, ahead of the launch of another OG Season and Chapter 6 in the fourth quarter of the year.

Alongside Eilish, Metallica and Snoop Dogg could also be upcoming Fortnite Festival featured artists, the roadmap suggested.

Disney recently announced that it’s investing $1.5 billion to acquire an equity stake in Epic Games.

It was also revealed that the companies have teamed up to build a new universe connected to Fortnite that will let users “play, watch, shop, and engage” with content from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and Avatar.
