Spirit has exited the major — it was considered one of the main contenders for victory in the tournament

Team Spirit concluded their journey at the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 for CS 2. In the quarterfinals, they lost to FaZe Clan and secured the 5-8th place at the tournament. The match result was 1:2 — Mirage (7:13), Nuke (19:16), and Vertigo (14:16).

This marked the first defeat for Danil “donk” Krivshkovtsev’s team after eight matches. Their undefeated streak began in February at the European RMR. Following that, they successfully navigated through the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2024 and the major’s group stage.

Team Spirit was considered one of the main contenders for victory at the PGL Major Copenhagen. Before the tournament began, bookmakers rated their chances of winning at 2.7, and many analysts believed they deserved the champion slot in the Pick’Em Challenge.

After the first day of the playoffs, Cloud9 also exited the tournament. From Eastern Europe, only Natus Vincere remained at the major. They will face Eternal Fire in the quarterfinals on March 29.

PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 is taking place from March 17 to 31 in Denmark. The world’s best teams are competing for a prize pool of $1.25 million. Additionally, the winner will secure slots in the BLAST Premier World Final 2024 and Esports World Cup 2024.
