LGD Gaming’s Dota 2 players, Lin “pLAnet” Hao and Wang “Ame” Chunyu, along with the club’s general manager, have addressed the organization’s challenging financial situation. Their stream was published on the Dota Lin Official YouTube channel.
The club was forced to shut down its base in Shanghai, and now the players are training in a computer club in Changsha. They also stated that LGD Gaming owes them salary payments, and they are unsure if they will receive them.
The club’s general manager expressed LGD’s concern about the potential loss of Faith_bian and Xiao8, leading to constant salary increases. The club’s expenses amounted to $40 million from 2020 to 2022, and sponsors withdrew due to the pandemic. The general manager also noted that receiving $3 million annually at present is a significant success.
