Named “Insane”, former Neon support revealed about player salaries in Southeast Asia

Esports player Travis “Castaway” Waters shared insights into the salary demands of Dota 2 players from Southeast Asia. According to him, some players are willing to join an organization if they are paid $8,000 to $10,000 per month.

“Everyone is asking for high salaries. Every player wants to earn more and more. How can this be sustained? It’s insane. In Southeast Asia, there are esports players who ask for eight or ten thousand dollars a month, but they aren’t even considered tier-1 players.
I don’t want to sound rude, but these people are out of touch with reality. I just wish Dota players were a bit more reasonable.”
