Insider reveals details about four new Overwatch heroes coming in 2026

Blizzard continues its overhaul of Overwatch. With the launch of Season 2, the game introduced a new hero, Sierra—but the developers aren’t stopping there.

An insider who previously leaked accurate details about Sierra and her abilities now claims that Blizzard is planning to add four more heroes throughout 2026. That said, this information should be treated with caution, as it remains unconfirmed and falls into the realm of rumors.

DPS Hero (Season 3): According to the insider, this character is described as a “female version of Cassidy.” She will feature a very similar weapon and skill set, but with a different backstory. She is said to be the leader of the Hashimoto clan, a gang operating in Japan. Visually, she will appear older than many of the recently added heroes.

D.Mon (Tank) (Season 4): The hero’s silhouette suggests a massive mech, but the insider claims this tank will have high mobility. The name and concept hint at another mech pilot, similar to D.Va. One interesting detail is that D.Mon may introduce a new type of health system.

Omnic Detective (Support) (Season 5): A support-class character who uses a cane as a primary weapon. Despite being a support, this hero is expected to have an “anti-healing aura,” allowing for a more aggressive playstyle instead of staying behind the team.

Hivemind (Support) (Final hero of 2026): A female character and former member of Talon. She is described as an enhanced super-soldier who will likely control a swarm of drones. Lore enthusiasts may recognize her name from the book Overwatch Declassified, where she kidnapped UN diplomats who were later rescued by Reinhardt.
