Welcome Tour, the mini-game compilation and interactive manual that launched with the Switch 2 on June 5, initially left many players puzzled — the game contained no staff credits upon completion.
Nintendo has recently developed a pattern of withholding details about which internal teams are behind specific projects. While credits typically reveal such information after launch, Welcome Tour broke that expectation.
Now, the mystery has been solved. An update to the official website of Nintendo Cube has listed Welcome Tour among its recent projects. Although it’s unclear exactly when the listing was added, it’s only recently been widely noticed by fans.
Nintendo Cube, formerly known as NDcube until a rebranding last year, is a Tokyo-based subsidiary best known for developing the Mario Party series. The studio also worked on Everybody 1-2-Switch and Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics for the original Switch. Going further back, it was responsible for Wii Party and Wii Party U.
Nintendo has previously remained silent on key development details, including the identity of Mario’s new voice actor in Super Mario Bros. Wonder, which only became public knowledge after the game’s release. A similar pattern followed with the Super Mario RPG remake, where the developer was only identified through a store listing.
