BLAST has announced the format of their tournaments for the year 2025

BLAST has announced an updated format for its CS2 tournaments in 2025. The series now includes three distinct events, each with a unique structure and features.

These events include:

• BLAST Bounty: An innovative structure resembling a game show where 32 teams compete to increase their reward share from the prize pool. The tournament features 32 teams, including 30 based on Valve rankings and 2 directly invited.
• BLAST Open: Large-scale events held in major arenas, providing a global platform for teams from all CS regions to showcase their skills against the world’s best. 12 teams are invited based on Valve rankings, with an additional 4 teams qualifying through regional qualifiers.
• BLAST Rivals: Elite battles where the top eight teams based on Valve rankings compete to determine the strongest among them.

Each of these tournament formats will be held twice a year: in spring and autumn as part of the BLAST Premier.

Season 1 – Spring 2025:

• BLAST BOUNTY: January 14 – 26
• BLAST OPEN: March 18 – 30 – Altice Arena, Lisbon, Portugal
• BLAST RIVALS: April 29 – May 4

Season 2 – Autumn 2025:

• BLAST BOUNTY: August 5 – 17
• BLAST OPEN: August 26 – September 7 – Wembley Arena, London, United Kingdom
• BLAST RIVALS: November 11 – 16
