Black Myth: Wukong receives a free update adding challenge mode, new maps, and equipment

The version 1.0.12.16581 update introduces several key features, including new challenge modes, the addition of Journeyer’s Charts, and fresh equipment.

Challenge modes become available after completing the game once and can be accessed through any Keeper’s Shrine.

The update offers two challenge types:

• Return of Rivals: Players engage in one-on-one duels against previously defeated enemies, with three difficulty levels to choose from.
• Gauntlet of Legends: Players face waves of opponents in succession, with customisable curses to adjust the difficulty.

Completing these challenges unlocks rare treasures such as weapons, equipment, curios, drinks, and medicines.

The update also introduces the Journeyer’s Chart, effectively adding in-game maps. The first chart is unlocked after meeting the Keeper at Black Wind Mountain, while additional charts can be purchased at Keeper’s Shrines in new territories.

Finally, a new Armor Set of Opulence has been added in celebration of the upcoming Chinese New Year. The set consists of four unique armour pieces.
