Games come alive, and the fun never ends!

Best Buy reportedly informed its affiliates that Grand Theft Auto 6 pre-orders will begin next week, fueling speculation that a new trailer could be on the way

During a livestream earlier today, YouTuber Frogboyx1Gaming was seen checking his phone when he came across an email from Best Buy’s affiliate program.

The message reportedly stated that a pre-order campaign for physical copies of Grand Theft Auto 6 would run from May 18 to May 21, with affiliates set to earn around 5% commission per sale they refer.

Shortly after, other Best Buy affiliates confirmed receiving the same email, which has fueled speculation that pre-orders for the game could officially open on Monday.

This development has also triggered rumors that a new GTA 6 trailer could drop around the same time to support the start of pre-orders. The timing would align closely with Take-Two Interactive’s Q4 2026 earnings call scheduled for May 21.

If a trailer does arrive before the call, potentially reaffirming the currently expected November 19 release window, it could be referenced directly during the financial presentation and help reduce investor questions about the game’s status during the Q&A session.

Separately, industry discussion around pricing has resurfaced. A Bank of America analyst recently suggested that Rockstar could price Grand Theft Auto 6 at $80, arguing this would help support broader price increases across the games industry.

As AAA development costs continue to rise, analyst Omar Dessouky claimed that keeping GTA 6 at the standard $70 price point could make it harder for other publishers to justify higher prices needed for sustainability.

Last year, Matthew Ball of Epyllion also noted that some industry figures see potential in a $100 price tag for GTA 6, believing it could set a new benchmark and help other companies adjust pricing amid inflation and escalating production budgets.
