EXODUS developer Archetype Entertainment has shared a new gameplay showcase for the upcoming sci-fi RPG. The footage follows Jun Aslan and his squad as they explore the mysterious Ghost City beneath Lidon, while also highlighting combat mechanics, equipment, and squad interactions.
The video features several weapons used by the protagonist. Jun can be seen wielding a spiked cannon to strike enemies from underground before bursting upward and launching opponents into the air with a powerful attack. The developers also showcased a mortar weapon designed for long-range combat, along with the Shredder, which allows players to quickly eliminate multiple enemies at once.
Special attention was given to team synergy and environmental exploration. Jun’s ally Elise destroys a wall to reveal a new path forward, hinting at deeper companion interactions with the environment during missions and exploration.
The developers also continue to expand on the game’s atmosphere. The Ghost City beneath Lidon presents a dark futuristic aesthetic filled with mysterious traces of an alien civilization. The studio confirmed that players can expect a larger gameplay presentation this summer.
EXODUS is being developed by RPG veterans who previously worked on titles such as Mass Effect, Baldur’s Gate, and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. The game is scheduled to launch next year for Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
