As of this writing, the PlayStation Network description for Red Dead Redemption now mentions a PC version. The description reads: “Experience the epic western adventures that defined a generation—now on PC for the first time.”
Although Rockstar has not yet confirmed a PC release, it seems that the description for the PC version was mistakenly attached to the PlayStation version in the PSN system. The Wayback Machine on archive.org also shows that the page, when last archived in April, did not mention a PC version, suggesting this is a recent change.
According to the description, the PC version will apparently include Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare, the game’s DLC expansion. It also mentions that the PC version will feature upgrades from the 2023 console version, plus PC-specific enhancements such as support for increased resolutions and framerates, multiple displays, and spatial surround sound.
Red Dead Redemption was first released for PS3 and Xbox 360 on May 18, 2010, and later launched on PS4 and Nintendo Switch in August 2023. The title is also available on current Xbox systems due to the Xbox 360 version being available on the Xbox store. Both Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S generations of consoles can play the 360 version via backwards compatibility.
