Epic Games announced a new event Fortnite x Marvel: Absolute Doom at D23

At the annual D23 exhibition held this week, Marvel head Kevin Feige, Lucasfilm Chief Creative Officer Dave Filoni, and Pixar studio head Pete Docter unveiled the highly anticipated Fortnite x Marvel: Absolute Doom event. The new season will begin on August 16 and will offer players the chance to unlock a battle pass featuring popular Marvel characters such as Doctor Doom and Gwenpool.

Epic Games also announced a significant change in its policy. Now, skins from battle passes can be made available for purchase in the Item Shop after a period of 18 months or more following the end of their exclusive period. This decision is aimed at allowing players to enjoy content based on popular licensed characters in the future.

Along with the new season, the game will introduce a new line of skins inspired by the Disney+ series “X-Men 97.” This lineup will feature characters such as Cyclops, Jubilee, and Colossus. These innovations are expected to attract both Marvel fans and Fortnite enthusiasts, offering a unique and exciting gaming experience.
