CS 2 prepares for a major update: operation may launch on June 25

The next significant update for CS 2 could arrive on June 25. This information surfaced in the app of Chinese publisher Perfect World.

With the new patch, a long-awaited operation for the shooter’s second installment is likely to be introduced. Perfect World representatives have already asked players to rate previous CS DLCs on a scale from one to ten.

Valve last released an operation in September 2021. The reasons behind the developers’ decision to cease regular DLC additions remain unknown. Throughout CS’s existence, eleven different operations have been introduced.

On June 19, the Counter-Strike franchise celebrated its 25th anniversary. Fans anticipated a major update from Valve on this occasion, but developers limited themselves to a brief greeting on social media.
