The latest gameplay trailer showcases the DLC character Homelander from Mortal Kombat 1

A character from “The Boys” series on Amazon Prime Video will be added to the game in the future, but the exact release date is currently unknown.

The trailer shows this character drinking breast milk – it’s his personal obsession. It also features a fatality where he throws his opponent into the air, right in front of an airplane.

Homelander will be the fifth out of six DLC characters to be added to the game as part of the Kombat Pack 1.

Omni-Man and Quan Chi were added in November and December 2023 respectively, while Peacemaker from the Suicide Squad (voiced by John Cena) was added in March.

Ninja Mortal Kombat Ermac was added to the game last month, and Homelander will appear sometime in the spring. The list will be completed in the summer with the addition of Takeda Takahashi from Mortal Kombat X.

Like other DLC characters, Homelander will first be available as part of the Kombat Pack and then offered as a standalone purchase a week later.

The Kombat Pack costs $39.99 / £34.99 and includes a Johnny Cage character skin featuring the voice and likeness of Jean-Claude Van Damme, as well as all six DLC playable characters and five DLC guest fighters.
