Valve updated the Dota 2 test server on January 28, which usually precedes the release of a new patch in the main client. It has been six months since the last major update, and now players are eagerly awaiting version 7.38.
When Will Patch 7.38 Be Released?
The update is expected to arrive on the night of January 29–30. It may be timed to coincide with the Chinese New Year, celebrated in several East Asian countries. However, Valve has not made any official announcements.
According to the author of the Telegram channel “Dota Stepana”, the test server update might indicate an imminent patch release.
What Time to Expect the Update?
Valve typically releases patches on Thursday night into Friday. Given that the Chinese New Year starts on January 29 (Wednesday), patch 7.38 could arrive on the night of January 31. It is also possible that Valve will release a teaser on social media a day before launch.
What Changes Will Patch 7.38 Bring?
There are no official details yet, but if 7.38 is indeed the next update, players can expect major balance adjustments. There may also be map changes and other gameplay modifications.
