Valve has released a new update for Counter-Strike 2, which went live on the night of January 29. The patch introduces Season 2 of Premier Mode, along with balance changes to weapon economy and accuracy.
Key Changes in the Update:
Premier
- Season 2 of Premier Mode has begun.
- Players who had a CS Rating in Season 1 will receive a commemorative medal with detailed statistics.
- CS Rating has been recalibrated – players need to win 10 matches to regain their rating.
- Train has been added to the active map pool, while Vertigo has been removed.
Weapon Balance
- M4A4 and FAMAS are now cheaper, and FAMAS accuracy has been improved.
- Reduced crouch-firing accuracy for MP9, MP5-SD, and MP7.
- Updated AUG/SG scope to enhance usability at long distances.
Other Changes
- Dynamic radar scaling added for better visibility.
- Fixed bugs on Train.
- Increased C4 brightness for better visibility.
- Added support for playing incomplete demo files.
- Counter-strafes are now logged on the server.
