On the night of April 8, CS 2 developers released an update that fixed a serious bug: players can no longer see opponents through walls. The issue became known on the evening of April 7, and to use this “legal” Wallhack, players simply needed to type “**cl_ent_bbox * **” in the console before starting a match. The FACEIT administration was forced to ban everyone who exploited this vulnerability, with over 400 individuals receiving a two-year ban.
Previously, well-known casters Chad “SPUNJ” Burchill, Jason “moses” O’Toole, and Janko “YNk” Paunovic shared information about Valve’s work on CS 2. They noted that the game’s creators are actively improving the anti-cheat system and working on adding new maps.
