Ubisoft has faced significant financial losses following the unsuccessful launch of the game Star Wars Outlaws. The company’s shares dropped by 10%, reaching €15.50, a level not seen since 2014. Ubisoft’s market capitalization decreased by €1.99 billion, directly due to the negative reviews from critics and players.
In light of these events, J.P. Morgan revised its sales forecasts for Star Wars Outlaws, reducing them by 2 million copies. It is now expected that only 5.5 million copies of the game will be sold by March 2025, which is significantly lower than the initial expectations.
