Team Spirit topped the HLTV rankings after NiKo’s departure from G2

The HLTV editorial team has released an updated CS2 team ranking, with Team Spirit emerging as the undisputed leader, dethroning G2 Esports from first place.

Previously, Team Spirit held second place, trailing G2 by 23 points even after their victory at the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024. However, the January update reshaped the standings, with Spirit now leading G2 by 154 points.

G2’s fall from the top is attributed to NiKo’s departure, as he joined the newly formed Team Falcons in early January. NiKo’s former teammate, Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov, shared a heartfelt photo of them together, which you can check out via the link below.
