Team Spirit emerged victorious against FaZe Clan in the final of the IEM Katowice 2024 tournament for CS 2. The match concluded with a 3:0 score in favor of Team Spirit, securing victories on the maps Nuke (13:9), Mirage (13:11), and Overpass (13:3).
A standout performance came from Danil “donk” Kryshkovets, who played a crucial role in the match. In the first five rounds on Nuke, the young Russian player managed to achieve 14 frags.
The confrontation on Mirage was particularly intense, and the decisive moment came in the last round, where Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov made a crucial frag.
On the third map, Overpass, Team Spirit showcased absolute dominance. In the first half, they conceded only one round to FaZe Clan, after which they confidently closed out the match in their favor.
For this victory, the team led by Leonid “chopper” Vishnyakov earned a prize of $400,000. Additionally, they have secured participation in IEM Cologne 2024, BLAST Premier World Final 2024, and Esports World Cup 2024.
IEM Katowice 2024 took place from January 31 to February 11 in Poland, with a total tournament prize pool of one million dollars.
