Team Falcons lost to AMKAL Esports in the fourth round of the European CS 2 RMR, with the match concluding with a score of 2:1 — Vertigo (13:6), Ancient (8:13), and Mirage (13:16).
This defeat for Danny “zonic” Sørensen’s team marks their third in the qualifying tournament. As a result, they did not advance to the next round and will now miss out on participating in PGL Major Copenhagen 2024.
Zonic will end his streak of participating in 13 consecutive major tournaments. Since returning to Counter-Strike, he hasn’t missed any significant events since 2015, most of which he attended as the coach of Astralis.
PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 will take place from March 17 to 31 in Denmark, with a prize pool of $1.25 million. This championship will be the first major for CS 2 in history.
