Starfield on PS5 will require more than 120 GB of free storage space

PlayStation 5 owners will be able to dive into the world of Starfield starting April 7. Those who have pre-ordered the game will gain access to preloading as early as April 5. According to PlayStation Game Size, the PS5 version will require 123.347 GB of storage in version 01.000.001.

Previously, the PlayStation Game Size account on X, known for tracking the PlayStation Store database, also revealed technical details about the release. The base version of the game will take up around 123 GB of free space, not including any additional content.

An insider noted that the Shattered Space story expansion will require approximately 12 GB, while the Terran Armada pack will take up about 4 GB of SSD space.

Users in the comments активно reacted to these requirements. Some gamers say they plan to free up storage by deleting large titles like Call of Duty to install the new release. Others expressed frustration that developers from Xbox Game Studios and Bethesda did not utilize Kraken compression technology to reduce the game’s size on PS5.
