S1mple will not participate in the show match at Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 — the organizers did not invite him

The organizers of the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 for CS2 have declined Alexander “s1mple” Kostylev‘s participation in the traditional show match. This was revealed by analyst Dmitry “hooch” Bogdanov.

“S1mple really wanted to play in the show match. He was told that the teams have already been formed. Who did they pick if they couldn’t find a spot for s1mple? I think we’ll see a lot of Chinese stars,” said hooch.

The show match is traditionally held before the grand final of the tournament. It is still unknown who will take part in the match before the audience in China. The final is scheduled for December 15.

The Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 is taking place from November 30 to December 15, with participants competing for a prize pool of $1.25 million.
