G2 Esports sniper Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov commented on the team’s triumph at BLAST Premier Fall Final 2024 in CS 2, highlighting his special motivation against NAVI due to a series of previous losses.
“I was really angry and hungry before the game when I saw NAVI as our opponents in the grand final. We had lost to them nine times in a row, and I wanted to prove that we couldn’t lose again. I was determined to destroy them,” Osipov shared.
When asked about his MVP medals, m0NESY emphasized that he doesn’t focus on them: “I don’t count MVP medals. For me, the main thing is to win tournaments. I get angry when other teams lift trophies. That just makes me even hungrier for victories.”
Before the grand final, Osipov explained that G2’s losing streak against NAVI might have been due to excessive respect for the opponents. However, this time G2 Esports secured a confident victory with a 3-1 score, earning $200,000 and a slot at BLAST Premier World Final 2024.
