Ubisoft and FX are developing a series based on the popular shooter series, Far Cry, according to a press release issued by Ubisoft and FX on October 10, 2020.
The series will be produced and directed by Noah Hawley, who is best known for his work on Fargo and Alien: Earth. Rob McElhenney, who has appeared in shows such as Mythic Quest and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, will serve as co-writer and executive producer for the series, in addition to being one of the lead actors.
In keeping with the format of the game series, each season of Far Cry will feature an independent story arc that will feature its own new characters and settings. It remains to be seen whether any of the seasons will adapt from the actual games or whether all will feature original storylines.
