Data miner Maxim “GabeFollower” Poltaev has discovered mentions of game modes that could be added to CS 2. Among them are Danger Zone, Escape, and Assassination. According to him, information about these modes is found in the main script for the “Deathmatch” mode.

Escape and Assassination are modes that were available in the original CS (1999) and CS: Condition Zero (2004). However, for various reasons, they did not appear in subsequent versions of the game, and all maps for them were removed.
The Escape mode first appeared in the beta version of Counter-Strike but did not make it into the official release. The main goal for terrorists is to reach a special escape zone. They cannot buy weapons to eliminate the special forces, which are tasked with thwarting their plans. However, equipment can be found on the map.
Assassination, also known as VIP, requires the special forces to escort non-player characters to the rescue zone and protect them from terrorist attacks. Not all types of weapons are available for purchase.
