ESL has not made a final decision on snap tap in CS 2 tournaments

Tournament organizer ESL has not yet made a final decision regarding the use of the Snap Tap function in its CS2 championships. This was reported by ESL FACEIT Group‘s Director of Game Ecosystem Management, Mark Winter, on social media platform X.

Earlier, on August 21, journalists from Dust2.us stated that ESL would not ban Snap Tap in upcoming tournaments, starting with ESL Pro League Season 20. However, Winter later clarified that this comment was made in error and does not reflect the company’s current stance.

It’s worth noting that Valve recently banned the use of Snap Tap, Jumpthrow, and other binds for grenade throws, leading to mixed reactions within the community.
