EA Sports FC 25 Ballon d’Or event begins this weekend

EA Sports is launching a special Ballon d’Or event in EA Sports FC 25 to celebrate this year’s award winners. During the event, players logging into Ultimate Team from November 8 to November 12 will receive two sets of Player Picks featuring 5 Ballon d’Or nominees per gender, allowing users to select one player from each.

The selected special Ballon d’Or cards, including a 97-rated Rodri and 97-rated Aitana Bonmatí, come as limited loans available only for the event’s duration. This restriction helps balance the in-game market by avoiding permanent high-rated cards early in the game cycle.

Following a strong launch, EA Sports FC 25 became September’s top-selling software title in the U.S., with record-breaking sales, as reported by market research firm Circana. The game saw double-digit growth over its predecessor, EA Sports FC 24, leading to the highest launch month dollar sales for a soccer game in U.S. history, according to Circana’s Mat Piscatella.
