In the early hours of May 30, Valve released patch 7.39b for Dota 2. The update focuses on bug fixes along with minor adjustments to the map, neutral items, and several heroes.
The most significant changes were made to Kez, who is now considered one of the weaker heroes in the game. While Falcon Rush and Talon Toss received slight buffs, Shodo Sai was rebalanced in a way that overall weakened his performance.
Heroes with the highest win rates at the moment — Wraith King, Vengeful Spirit, and Legion Commander — remained untouched in this patch. Meanwhile, Axe received a small nerf to his Aghanim’s Scepter upgrade.
Overall, patch 7.39b aims to smooth out balance issues without drastically shifting the current meta.
