DOOM: The Dark Ages becomes id Software’s most successful launch ever

Bethesda Softworks has shared the first performance stats for DOOM: The Dark Ages, and the numbers point to a highly successful launch.

In less than a week since release, the game has attracted over 3 million players across all available platforms. This figure does not include direct sales, as the game is available through Game Pass.

It marks the biggest launch in id Software’s history — DOOM: The Dark Ages reached 3 million players seven times faster than its predecessor, DOOM: Eternal.
