Battlefield 6 launched with a record-breaking peak — over 747,000 concurrent players on Steam

Within just hours of release, the game entered Steam’s top three most-played titles. According to insider Kami, this could be a record among paid shooters, though no official confirmation has been provided yet.

For comparison, the open beta drew around 520,000 concurrent players, meaning the full release surpassed it by roughly 220,000 players.

It’s important to note that these numbers only reflect Steam activity — with EA App, Epic Games Store, and console platforms included, the total player count likely reaches several million.

Battlefield 6 marks a return to the series’ classic military roots, removing the controversial “specialist” system and emphasizing optimization and community feedback through the new Battlefield Labs initiative.
