British studio Auroch Digital has unveiled Warhammer Survivors — the first-ever roguelike in the Warhammer franchise, which will include Ukrainian text localization at launch.
The gameplay follows the familiar formula of Vampire Survivors: players face endless waves of enemies, collect upgrades, and strengthen their heroes over time. The project is being developed in collaboration with Poncle, creators of Vampire Survivors, ensuring it’s an official and authentic spin on the genre rather than a copy.
The title spans two iconic Warhammer universes — the grimdark sci-fi of Warhammer 40,000 and the fantasy world of Age of Sigmar. Each setting will feature its own roster of heroes and enemies. From 40K, players can expect characters like Malum Kaedo, Kozlovsky (a Cadian soldier), and Space Marine Luka. From Age of Sigmar come Niv Blectalon (a ranged warrior), Gotrek Gurnisson (a dwarf berserker), and Sharin Azurvrat (a magical defender).
The trailer reveals battles against Tyranids in the 40K universe and Skaven in the Age of Sigmar realm. Fans can also look forward to numerous Easter eggs, such as the Nuln Black Paint weapon, with developers promising many more hidden references.
Although both universes are featured within the same game, they will remain distinct and separate, with no direct crossover between Warhammer 40K and Age of Sigmar storylines.
Warhammer Survivors is scheduled for release in 2026 and is already available to add to Steam wishlists. Console and mobile versions haven’t been confirmed yet, but developers haven’t ruled them out.
