According to media reports, NiKo has signed a contract with Team Falcons

According to Sheep Esports journalists, G2 Esports and Team Falcons have reportedly reached an agreement for the transfer of Nikola “NiKo” Kovač. Rumors suggest that NiKo will debut for Falcons only in January 2025. It is not yet known who NiKo will replace, but it has been reported that Emil “Magisk” Reif will remain with the team. The transfer fee is estimated to be between $1-1.2 million, and the contract is set for three years.

Discussions about NiKo’s move to Team Falcons initially began in late 2023, but the player reportedly declined the offer at that time. In August 2024, streamer Sébastien “KRL” Perez mentioned that NiKo was reconsidering the transfer.

NiKo has been with G2 Esports since October 2020, during which time he won three major titles: BLAST Premier World Final 2022, IEM Katowice 2023, and IEM Cologne 2023. His next tournament will be ESL Pro League Season 20, which begins on September 3 in Malta.
