The new animated short film for Genshin Impact unveils the dark past of the character Arlecchino and introduces the upcoming update in version 4.6!

In the new animated short film from the world of Genshin Impact titled “The Song Burning in the Embers,” more detailed information about the past of the five-star Pyro character, Arlecchino, is revealed. Introduced in 2022, Arlecchino is a significant character among the Eleven Fatui Harbingers serving the Snezhnaya Archon Tsaritsa.

Within the unfolding Fontaine arc in Genshin Impact, where many new characters have been introduced, Arlecchino emerges as a central antagonist. Throughout the storyline, it is revealed that Arlecchino oversees the House of Hearts orphanage, which played a significant role in the upbringing of several prominent Fatui members, including The Knave.

The latest animated release on Genshin Impact’s official YouTube channel delves deeper into Arlecchino’s complex past. The video captures emotionally charged moments, including a scene of Arlecchino holding a spider funeral, hints at future plot twists, and an emotional conflict with a past friend. The short film quickly captured the hearts of viewers, accumulating over 400,000 views in just a few hours, and received praise for its detailed and emotional storytelling.

Events in the short film also describe Arlecchino’s victory over the previous caretaker of the orphanage, leading to her being offered a leadership role by Pierro, the Fatui Director. In terms of gameplay, Arlecchino’s debut is scheduled for the first phase of Genshin Impact Version 4.6.
