ARC Raiders has received a new update as developer Embark Studios confirms it has fixed an issue that caused some players to miss out on skill points

ARC Raiders features long-term progression events known as Expeditions, where players can reset their progress in exchange for permanent rewards. During the final two weeks of each Expedition — referred to as the Expedition Window — players can complete special challenges to earn up to five bonus skill points for their characters.

However, after the third Expedition concluded on May 11, many players reported that their bonus skill points had not been awarded properly. Developer Embark Studios confirmed on its official Discord server that the issue was under investigation and later announced in the version 1.28.0 update that the bug had been fixed.

According to the studio, some accounts are still affected, and the team is continuing to identify impacted players before manually granting the missing skill points over the coming days.

Aside from resolving the progression issue, the 1.28.0 patch is relatively small in scope, mainly introducing a new store rotation featuring the Castaway Set cosmetic items. Embark also noted that the Third Expedition is currently active and that the final update for the Patchwork outfit is now available to players departing in their Caravans.

Last month, the game’s Riven Tides update added a new map along with several gameplay additions, although it also temporarily broke crossplay multiplayer functionality before the issue was fixed a few days later.
